The world converges in Honolulu Hawai‘i at this 1st Annual Event. 4 days of Music, Culture & the Arts alive in Waikīkī like no other time before. 100 artists performing live stretched across 25 venues bringing the music of Hawai‘i, hula, arts and culture to the thousands who gather to experience Hawai‘i through the beats and rhythms of its people.

Be a part of this special event that is sure to engage and inspire the 75,000 visitors and the thousands of kama‘aina who will come from all parts of the island chain to engage our visitors in a way that only Hawai‘i can do.

Held at the Hawai‘i Convention Center, this event will kick off the opening of the 1st Annual Nā Hōkū O Hawai‘i Music Festival. Food, Drinks and 1st class entertainment will be welcoming our visitors and kama‘aina alike who have come to celebrate and mix and mingle. The line-up of entertainment is increasing daily, to date we have: Kaumakaiwa Kanaka‘ole, Natalie Ai Kamauu, Amy Hanaiali‘i, Jake Shimabukuro and BET. WORKSHOP DAY PASS

Each day will begin with a keynote speaker on a subject of relevance to the music community and the music industry. It will be presented by world renowned speakers of music and will be a draw in itself to the festival. Following the keynotes, there will be breakout sessions on topics such as: Music & Hula, Producing A CD, Haku Mele, Composition, New Media Distribution, Social Media, Music & Law, Music & Healing, Slack Key by our masters, `ukulele with masters, Manufacturers from Taylor Guitars, Roland, Digi Design, Kamaka Hawai‘i, Koaloha, Kanilea, Traditional Instrumentation in Contemporary music, Meet the Artist Session, Music Critics, one on one sessions, Vocal Coaching, and many many more. The workshops will begin Friday morning and continue all day Saturday and a half day on Sunday. Watch for Jam Sessions and National Icons to be present at these events.

Langa Savea, Fiji, Siaosi, Nesian Nine, and Kiwini have been called the "LOST" sound of a generation. They can't be categorized as Hawaiian, Jahwaiian, Reggae, or R&B but this "LOST" sound has made a name for itself among the great sounds of the Hawaiian Islands. Special guest Cas Haley from the Hit TV series America's Got Talent also will be playing alongside our Hawaii Artists. Come and listen as these local groups give you a nice dose of Island Music.

The Hawai‘i Convention Center will host the HARA Lifetime Achievement Luncheon. Keeping with the tradition established 30 years ago, the Hawai‘i Academy of Recording Arts will honor 5 Legends of Hawaiian Music at the prestigious Life Time Achievement Awards Luncheon that will include entertainment and surprise guest appearances. This event is a must see, once in a lifetime opportunity to meet and greet those responsible for much of what we hear today throughout the islands, and those who have taken Hawaiian music across the globe. This event will honor their contributions and commitment to Hawaiian music. This year's honorees are: Ida Keli‘i Chun, Isaacs ‘Ohana (Alvin Kaleolani Isaacs, Hr. (Barney), Norman K. Isaacs, and Leland Isaacs) George Kainapau, Makaha Sons of Ni‘ihau & Boyce Rodrigues.

AFTER PARTY ONLY

A star-studded event that brings the talented musicians from Hawai‘i in to one venue for one night to honor the best of the best. The 33rd Annual HARA Nā Hōkū Hanohano Awards are Hawai‘i's version of the Grammy Music Awards. They are held on an annual basis each Spring. This year the award ceremonies will be broadcast in stunning High Definition (HD) on KGMB 9 throughout Hawai‘i and will stream live over the world-wide web.

Live Stunning Performances, 1st time collaborations, legends and upcoming artists will grace the stage. Prepare for a night to remember!

The Hawai‘i Convention Center will be the backdrop for the live telecast of the RED CARPET ARRIVALS. This is when the party begins, come and see who is coming with who, what everyone is wearing and listen to great musical entertainment before the awards show. Watch your favorite artists being interviewed by some of Hawai‘is biggest names. Tell your friends to watch you on TV at home as the camera will captured the excitement in the room as the event gets closer. This event will provide no-host pupus and cocktails prior.

Directly following the Awards Show, there will be an After Party right on property of the Convention Center. This party will have multiple stages of entertainment, food and no-host cocktails. It will be a celebration of the week's festivities, artists in a variety of combinations will perform together. Much like the after parties of the GRAMMYS this will be an event in itself!~

NOTE: this event will "seat" at 6:30-7:15pm and go live at 7:30pm. Guests will be encouraged to arrive from 5:30 as there will be no-host pupus and cocktails available, and the area for the pre-event festivities will be the backdrop of the BROADCASTED RED CARPET LIVE ARRIVALS on TV.

This is one can't miss concert as one of the all-time greatest guitarists Lee Ritenour will be joined by David Pack, the former lead singer for Ambrosia, who had smash hits, "You're the Only Woman", "Biggest Part of Me" and "How Much I Feel". Add the funkiest bassman around in Melvin Lee Davis, saxophonist to the stars Michael Paulo and an all-star band and this will be an awesome night.

Lee Ritenour is a Grammy Award winning artist who has been named Guitarist of the Year twice. His 40 albums has been a combination of Jazz, Rock and Brazilian music. He was a co-founder of the original Fourplay along with Bob James. Don't miss out.
